Orchids in the wild grow out from the bark of trees under shaded canopies. To help them thrive indoors, place them in moss or bark-filled pots in a spot with indirect sunlight. Orchids take a little extra care because watering varies by light levels, humidity, and warmth. 

This category includes additional food types such as a foliar spray for Air Plants and Bromeliads, or other special blends of plant foods for plants that don’t do well with an all-purpose blend. Look for food blends that are specifically labeled for your plant.

Orchids grow best in a mix with excellent drainage and air circulation. The most common ingredients are perlite, peat moss, tree fern, or tree bark. Look for additional ingredients such as rockwool, sand, charcoal, cork, and fir bark. Some other plants such as Air Plants also do well in an orchid soil mix.
