Picture Plants are fascinating carnivorous plants that given the right conditions, make great houseplants. They prefer to have slightly moist soil and to drink distilled or rain water over tap water. You don't need to fertilize it because it will catch a couple of insects every month. Too much food or fertilizer can actually kill carnivorous plants. 

This plant requires its own special soil mix. Look for soil mixes that are specifically labeled for your plant or you may need to use a combination of different soil mixes.

Insects beware.

I've recently started to get familiar with carnivorous plants and it is very exciting! I have found that as long as they have bright light for 12-14 hours a day and stay damp (I use distilled water), they're fairly easy to take care of.
