Overfeeding your succulent, especially with high levels of nitrogen, can cause leaf and root rot problems.

Use this soil mix for succulents, palms, cactus, citrus, plumeria, and some tropical plants. A good Succulent, Palm and Citrus soil mix is a coarse, well-drained soil that is about one-third sand. It should absorb water quickly and provide excellent drainage. This soil mix should contain ingredients such as recycled forest products, pumice, sand, bark fines, dehydrated poultry manure, and hydrolyzed feather meal.
