Lily of the Nile is a tender perennials that grow from fleshy-rooted rhizomes. It has rounded clusters of funnel-shaped flowers atop stiff, upright, leafless, fleshy stalks rising above a dense mound of basal narrow, strap-shaped, linear, grass-like leaves.  This plant is happy in gardens, pots or containers, indoors or outdoors with partial shade to full sun.
