The Golden Gate Ficus is a species of fig tree native to tropical and subtropical Asia.  Very popular as an indoor tree and bonsai.  It has a rounded dense crown with a smooth gray bark, milky sap, and long, thin, dangling aerial roots.

This type of soil mix is ideal for most houseplants because it’s well-draining, lightweight, and easy to handle. A good indoor houseplant soil mix will include ingredients such as compost, pine bark, coir, worm castings, peat moss, hydrafiber, or perlite.
