📚 Acharagma Care Guide

Acharagma details
💧️ Water - Low Water
Low Water Needs

Acharagma is fairly forgiving when it comes to missing a watering day. These plants don't require much oversight.

For Acharagma, it is important to let the majority of the soil dry in between waterings. Be careful about overwatering your plant -- this can lead to fungal disease like root rot and pest infestations.

Growing Outdoors
If growing outdoors, you will want to plant Acharagma in an area that receives morning sunlight that's not too harsh and afternoon shade for most natural light. You can consider East facing portions of your garden as those get more morning sun.

Growing Indoors
If growing indoors, you can place Acharagma near an East-facing window that will receive morning sun for half of the day and afternoon shade.
You can also consider placing your Acharagma a few feet away from a South-facing window for diffused light. However, be careful about placing in direct sunlight of a South-facing window as that can cause leaf scorch and affect growth. You can always diffuse the harsh light of a South-facing window by using a sheer curtain.

Direct Sunlight (Full Sun)
Acharagma thrives best in direct sunlight or full sun meaning that it loves at least 6-8 hours of bright direct light.

If growing outdoors, you will want to plant Acharagma in an area that receives sunlight throughout the day. If growing indoors, place near a South-facing window for ideal conditions. South-facing windows receive the most amount of direct light everyday.
Bright Indirect Light or Partial Sun
Acharagma can grow in bright indirect light which means it prefers at least 4-6 hours of diffused natural light (ideally 6 hours).
Growing Outdoors
When plants thrive in bright, indirect light only this means that you will want to avoid exposing them to direct sunlight unlessAcharagma is also explicitly noted to tolerate direct sunlight.

Moderate Light | Partial Shade

Acharagma can tolerate and grow in moderate light and partially shady areas which means it prefers about 2-4 hours of diffused natural light. Moderate and partial shade plants can tolerate some bright, direct sun, but it's best to give them respite and plant in primarily shady areas of your space.

When plants like Acharagma grow in moderate light or partially shady areas, you will want to avoid exposing them to direct sunlight unless direct sun is specified as a light need for the plant. In which case it can tolerate a wide range of low light to direct sun conditions and is very forgiving!

If growing outdoors, you will want to plant Acharagma in a primarily partially shady area that may receive some morning sun (East side).Acharagma is a great option for shade gardens or underneath trees or near fence lines that provide cover from bright sunlight.

If growing indoors, you can grow this type of plant in a lot of different areas of your house. The only thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to avoid direct sunlight (unless specified) for Acharagma. This means if you are growing near a South-facing window, make sure to place it a few feet away from the window. South-facing windows receive the most amount of bright, indirect and direct light a day. Eastern-facing windows receive light in the morning and afternoon shade, while West-facing windows receive sun in the afternoon. North-facing windows receive the least amount of light and would be great candidates for where to place you Acharagma.
